Michael Kaminski has served in the financial services industry for over three decades. He was a financial advisor in a leadership role at a major wire house prior to establishing SKV Group in 2016. He earned his distinguished Certified Financial Planner™ certification in 2005. In addition, Michael is also a credentialed Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™.  Michael served in the United States Air Force before graduating from James Madison University. Because his financial coaching involves a focus on investor behavior and managing emotions, he can frequently be heard saying, “scared money don’t make none”. Michael Kaminski serves as the President of the 501(c)(3) non-profit, Gratitude Charlottesville.

Jorgen Vik, Partner, has been a financial advisor since 2001. Jorgen earned his distinguished Certified Financial Planner™ certification in 2005. Jorgen was born and raised in Norway. He attended University of Texas and moved to Charlottesville in 1999 with his wife, Laura, and together raised their three children. Jorgen is involved with various local non-profit organizations, including serving on the board of Gratitude Charlottesville. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, coaching youth soccer, and travel.

Lauren Kaminski, Financial Advisor, is a native of Charlottesville, VA. She pursued her education at George Mason University and earned her master’s degree from Trinity College Dublin. Lauren Kaminski is an accomplished professional with a wealth of experience in developing strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively understand clients' needs, establish trust, and maintain long-term relationships. With a passion for community service, she currently serves as the Executive Director of Gratitude Charlottesville. In her leisure time, Lauren enjoys cooking, exploring the outdoors, and moments with family.

Corlis Douglas has served as a Client Relations Representative for over 40 years and has worked with SKV Group President, Michael Kaminski, for over 25 years. Corlis works tirelessly to serve our clients and has built quite the fan club at SKV. She was born and raised in Charlottesville, VA. Corlis loves old Western films and spending time with her family, especially her twin grandsons Reid and Grey.

Before joining the SKV team I worked at Starbucks and loved to connect with the customers, getting to know many people in the area and always aiming to start their days off on the right foot! I’m excited to meet more of our community through SKV and learn so much more about how I can help in and out of the office. When I’m not at work I’m always looking for live music events or enjoying games with friends. In the warmer months I like to spend my time at Camden Yards where I get to watch the Orioles and cheer alongside my family.
